December 2015

Time is of the essence

Tale 12

Concept of time

Let’s be honest. It’s been a long year in the making. I’ve carefully handpicked every single target I’ve wanted to include and now when 2015 draws into it’s end I can say I’ve succeeded in that. Time certainly flew. I feel like I just came back from the Himalayas, tossed kettlebells in Fiskebäck and went downhill biking in Berner Oberland.

That got me thinking. Instead of just showing a different sport or opportunity in a foreign country, I want to talk and be transparent. Talk especially about meaningful things. My vision on what I really want to achieve is really clear now, but of course you have to be able to change your plan on the go. And that’s exactly what I did towards the end.

Sure it was amazing to hang out with our sherpas in Kanchenjunga, freeski in Voss, interact with top Danish MMA fighter Mikkel Parlo and train with Mr.Yates. But that’s not the point: Point is to grow, learn, meet a person as a person that he or she is and through those experiences be able to mentor others on a deeper level. I want to talk about feelings, not things.

If you want to gain something, you also need to be able to let go. I’ve let go on many things this year: What I’ve realized is that I have a lot more to offer than I thought I had and letting go is actually getting something better in return. But you need to pick your battles carefully. Vanity is the poison of our age and by excluding unnecessary things from your life, you are able to focus better and clarify your position on this planet.

Strong belief is what I have. Portfolio for this year in now full and I can move on. This, my friends, has been just the start. See you all next year. To all the helpful hands, I will pay you with time and love. You know who you are.
